January's Tip, Trick and Trend Report

Tip:  Stay ahead of the times by going back in history!  2013 weddings will bring many things, one of them being the Roaring Twenties.  Dropped wasted wedding dresses with lace finishes in a delicate ivory can be adorned with long strands of pearls and gold jewelry to achieve this look.  Try a beaded headband in place of a traditional veil to top it off.

Your husband-to-be can also have a starring role in this throwback themed wedding.  Think neutral three-piece suits, double-breasted waistcoats and single-breasted blazers, perfectly placed pocket squares, and side slicked hair.  Top it all off with a felt based fedora for that extra flare.

Trick:  For your “happy hour” cocktail reception, replace typical cocktail tables with couches and coffee tables.  Not only are couches stylish seating options and more comfortable than a barstool, but they also make great photo opportunities!  Your chic couches can double as props during your pre- and post-wedding photo shoot!  Check out Williams Party Rentals couches and cocktail tables.

Trend: It is no wonder that incorporating social media into a wedding is becoming a big trend among couples these days.  What better way to get the word out there, and to become a “trend” yourself than by a assigning your wedding an official #Hashtag?  With the increasing number of smartphone users, it is as easy as 1-2-3.

Step 1:  Create a #Hashtag that is unique to you and your fiancé.  Be sure to check that it is available.

Step 2:  Share the #Hashtag with all your guests by including it on your wedding invitations, ceremony programs, seating cards – just about anything!

Step 3: Snap and Share - have your wedding festivities uploaded by friends and family throughout the entire wedding and be sure they use your unique #Hashtag to create memories that will be easily accessible in the future!
